Information security solutions provider Digital Arts Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshio Dogu; hereinafter referred to as "Digital Arts"; Code 2326) is pleased to announce that it will offer two new options, high capacity and extended retention period, for its DLP and file transfer service f-FILTER starting in July 2024.

File Transfer Services to Help Send Large Files

These days, files are increasingly being digitized and exchanged via digital devices. While we usually send these files as email attachments, sometimes this is impossible due to their large sizes. Especially when sending large files, such as sales materials including catalogs, design data and video data, it is important to take the recipient's email environment into account.
This is where file transfer services come in. File transfer services allow you to upload files to the web. Therefore, you can share files efficiently and safely without taking their sizes or the burden on the recipient's email server into account.

Long-Term Data Retention Required for File Audits

When transferring electronic files via email or file transfer services, it is extremely important from a security standpoint to understand exactly which files are being handled by whom and how. This is called file auditing, where file handling information, access history, and the files themselves are managed in logs to grasp the situation in the event that a file is illegally taken outside the company or accessed from outside. By storing files for a long period of time and preparing an environment where they can later be reviewed, you can prepare for unexpected events.

Launch New Options That Can Be Selected According to Operational Status

Digital Arts has been offering a DLP and file transfer service, f-FILTER, since November 2023. f-FILTER protects important information with five information leakage prevention features: DLP, file identification, supervisor approval, antivirus, and file access rights management. It provides safe file transfer for more than 18,000 users*. Now, we have added two new options that can be selected according to each company's operational situation, in response to many requests we have received, such as to send even larger files and to store files longer for auditing purposes.
With the high capacity option, you can upload up to 20 GB files, instead of standard 100 MB files. Each company can choose the best plan for its file storage capacity. (50 GB, 100 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, 5 TB, 10 TB)
With the extended retention period option, files, which are normally stored for 30 days, can be stored for an optimal period of time based on the policies of each company. (1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 7 years, and 10 years)
This option allows you to check later what files were uploaded to f-FILTER.
f-FILTER is offered at a standard price of 300 yen per month (excluding consumption tax). The high capacity and extended retention period options will be offered with pricing depending on the plan chosen.
In addition, we are planning to introduce a feature that allows each company or organization to set its own file viewing period. We will continue to update our service to enable file management tailored to each company's usage.
